With the Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you!) just being over, did you have some fun celebrating the saga? We’ve just unpacked the perfect gadget for you to add more fun to the next year’s festivities – the Nebula Capsule II Star Wars R2-D2 Limited Edition from Anker.

Look how cute it is!

Before we dive head-first into hardware, let’s take a closer look at this little guy: The legless cylindrical built naturally borrows the color design from R2-D2. R2-D2’s radar eye turned to be the projector’s lens, with the red logo of the company a perfect fit in the area right below. All the details have been executed very well, giving it a cool and polished appearance. From the very moment we hit the power button we fell in love, this little guy has all the beeping and chirping of R2-D2 (a very nice touch), taking us back to our childhoods.

As for the hardware, we can find the same specs inside as the standard Anker Nebula Capsule II.

This pocket-sized projector has its own speaker system, which means you can also use it as a Bluetooth speaker. The whole projector only weighs1.6 pounds and the compact size allows you to fit it into your backpack and take it anywhere you want. The mode switch button lies just above the power button, which allows you to turn it into a Bluetooth speaker. 2.5 hours battery life for such a compact size goes beyond my expectations, you get to have enough time to enjoy a movie or few episodes of shows on a single charge.

This R2-D2 projector runs Android TV, which supports the Google Play App Store, Chromecast, and Google Assistant. You can also download your favorite apps and enjoy any content from YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and more. You will find a full HDMI port as well, which allows you to connect other devices and a USB-C for recharging as well as USB-A and a 3.5 mm AUX-Out. It can generate an image up to 100 inches with Anker’s auto-focus and auto-keystone technologies. That said, it only provides 200 lumen of brightness, which means you need darkish surroundings for the image to stay crisp and clear. Of course, you can’t make it compete with a proper home theater, but it’s definitely a good choice for your bedroom or backyard movie nights. How cool it is that you can actually watch Star Wars movies projected by R2-D2!

There were only 1000 units made of this cute, little droid; and it’s now available on Amazon with a $699 price tag, you would get a total of $100 off using the GiGadgets special discount code GI2021R2D2. If you are searching for a gift for your friends or yourself don’t hesitate to get one before they sell out, we think this is a fantastic little gadget – both in actual use or as a collection piece!
