It has been four years since Samsung released its concept foldable phone video. However, like any new product, it’s difficult to develop.  As Samsung is taking its time, ZTE has already put out a foldable phone on the market. So even if Samsung could catch up, it’s not going to be a unicorn product the company was hoping for in 2014. On the other hand, it might be the final straw to push Samsung to release its development later this year or early 2019.

According to reports by CNBC, Samsung’s CEO DJ Koh has confirmed its foldable phone project. It’s bendable OLED display shows promises as well. As far as we can guess that probably means you will get one integral screen, instead of that of ZTE’s two separate screens.

We are most likely to find out more in November on the Samsung developer conference.
