The Trump Organization, led by President Donald Trump’s eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, unveiled a new venture into the telecommunications industry with the launch of Trump Mobile, a wireless service aimed at conservative consumers.
The announcement, made at Trump Tower, coincides with the 10th anniversary of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign launch.Trump Mobile will offer a $47.45 monthly plan, dubbed “The 47 Plan,” referencing Trump’s terms as the 45th and 47th U.S. president. The plan includes unlimited talk, text, data, roadside assistance, telehealth services, and free international calling, operating on 5G networks of major U.S. carriers without contracts. The service emphasizes U.S.-based customer support, with call centers in St. Louis, Missouri, as highlighted by Eric Trump in a Fox Business interview.
A flagship feature of the launch is the T1 Phone, a gold-colored, American-made Android smartphone priced at $499. Available for pre-order and set to debut in September 2025, the T1 boasts a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, a 5000mAh battery, 12GB RAM, and 256GB expandable storage, running on Android 15. The phone features fingerprint and AI face unlock security and is etched with an American flag, though it will be manufactured by a third-party company under the Trump brand license.
“We’re going to do it better, we’re going to do it safer, with more functionality,” Eric Trump said, emphasizing the service’s focus on American-made products and enhanced features. Donald Trump Jr. added, “We are introducing an entire package of products to disrupt the mobile industry.”
The launch has raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, as the Trump Organization, now managed by Trump’s children during his presidency, continues to expand into tech, cryptocurrency, and media sectors. Critics note the timing of the announcement, made while Donald Trump is in office, may blur the lines between his business and political roles.
Trump Mobile’s T1 Phone and wireless service are positioned to compete with major carriers like AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, as well as smartphone giants Apple and Samsung. The venture is operated by T1 Mobile LLC, a separate entity licensing the Trump brand.
