Winter snow is all fluffy and flaky, but can just be every household's headache when it comes to removing them from the deck or driveway. Our editor managed to find a light weight yet equally powerful snow shovel for this problem.

Its full name is Snow Joe iON13SS 40-volt Cordless Snow Shovel. Unlike many other snow blowers or throwers that run on gasoline (which could cause greasy leaks that need further cleaning), this snow shovel runs purely on electricity, either on a rechargeable battery or by connecting to power source through a cord. Besides, this lightweight shovel only weighs less than 15 pounds, beating many other back-pain-causing counterparts.
More importantly, the iON13SS feature a powerful brushless motor that can blast through over 300 pounds of snow per minute and discharge the snow to 25 feet away while clearing a path of 13 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Added by the  40V 4.0 AH lithium-ion battery, this lightweight beast can go on for 52 minutes whisper-quiet on a single charge, clearing up to 7 tons of snow.

Other benefits come from the user-friendly handle, the durable scraper bar at the bottom that prevents damage to deck or pavement, and easy assemble according to many satisfied customers. Some minor glitches did arise from users who had faced loosely fitted battery shield that kept dropping and shifting handle when gliding through heavy snow.

On SnowJoe's official website, the regular Snow Joe iON13SS 40-volt Cordless Snow Shovel starts at $219 including the battery and charger. But you may also go to other e-commerce for possibly better quotes.
