Telegram, the most popular encrypted messenger in Iran, has been blocked by the Iranian government amid intensifying nationwide protests. The messaging app was used by activists to coordinate and organize protests. Now the protesters are in a difficult place with limited effective alternatives for communication.

Spotify in big trouble
Spotify has been sued by a song licensee company for copy right infringement for $1.6 billion in damages. Spotify is allegedly using songs without acquiring proper license or compensating music publishers. The music-streaming startup has a record high 60 million paying users and is expected to go public this year with a valuation of $20 billion.
